The Boston Celtics have a lot of things they need to take hard looks at this offseason with the NBA’s new collective bargaining agreement putting the pressure it was created to put on teams like the Celtics when it comes to trying to build a championship roster.

Whether to offer star forward Jaylen Brown a supermax extension worth close to $300 million with another, bigger supermax deal for co-star Jayson Tatum lurking a season beyond next, whether to make trades to soften the blow on the salary cap. As does discerning which players might be needed to do so loom large and figuring out whether they can afford to re-sign reserve forward Grant Williams are just a few of the bigger issues facing Boston.
