Golf glamor girl Paige Spiranac has predicted a ‘spicy’ fallout from the PGA’s merger with LIV Golf, comparing it to the ending of HBO’s Succession, as she also cracked a joke about Phil Mickelson’s delight.
The blonde-blue-eyed golf influencer shared her own thoughts on the unification of both tours in a series of tweets on Tuesday, as well as thoughts from players on both tours learning about the news.
‘The PGA Tour and LIV are merging golf twitter is about to be spicy the next couple days,’ the 30-year-old tweeted.
Spiranac also shared an image from one of the final scenes in ‘Succession,’ in which Shiv Roy grabs the hand of her estranged husband, Tom Wambsgans, after it’s been announced that he’s the new CEO of Waystar Royco.
‘LIV and PGAT fans now,’ the American media personality joked.

In another tweet, Spiranac, who holds $881.2k followers on Twitter and three million more on Instagram, joshed about Phil Mickelson’s and Brandel Chamblee’s reactions to both tours joining forces, as both have previously criticized Saudi Arabia’s backing of LIV Golf.
‘Phil knowing Brandel is about to have the worst day ever with the news of the tour merging with LIV,’ Spiranac wrote on Twitter, while also sharing a GIF of Mickelson dancing.
Mickelson, who’s won six majors throughout his 31-year career (and still counting), a seemed ecstatic about PGA and LIV linking with DP World Tour under one golfing entity, tweeting Tuesday: ‘Awesome day today.’
Brooks Koepka, who became the first LIV player to win a PGA-sponsored major at Oak Hill last month, also reacted to the merger by asking people to make sure that Chamblee is alive and well.
‘Welfare Check on Chamblee,’ the five-time major winner tweeted on Tuesday.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, who owns three courses that are part of LIV Golf’s 14-event schedule in 2023, celebrated the deal in a Truth social post using all caps.

Since its launch, LIV players have only competed alongside their former colleagues at the majors as those four blue-riband events on the golf calendar are not run by either the PGA Tour or DP World Tour but by independent institutions.

Many of those who accepted lucrative signing bonuses to join LIV Golf cited as their reason for making the leap a desire to play fewer events and spend more time with their families.
