Retired NFL great Tom Brady had to laugh at himself after an embarrassing tee shot was recorded and shared on social media on Friday.
While participating in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament, the seven-time Super Bowl winner appeared to be rusty on one of his drives.
In a clip posted by Barstool Sports, Brady is seen lining up for the shot before nearly missing it completely. Brady managed to brush the top of the ball, causing it to bounce a few yards in front of him.
The poor shot was met with silence as Brady appeared to walk it off before the clip ends.
‘Driver was off the rack,’ Brady wrote while reposting the clip. ‘Turns out they don’t do breakfast balls at Pebble.’

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is also participating in the Pro-Am tournament
Brady also referenced his appearance on season 6, episode 5 of the TV show Entourage. The scene shows Kevin Dillon’s character, Johnny Drama, ragefully breaking Brady’s club in a charity tournament after a series of bad shots.
Acknowledging how he resonates with the fictional character, Brady reposted a GIF of the scene and captioned ‘Me *handshake emoji* Johnny Drama.’
Brady, an eight handicap, is paired with No 15 ranked Keegan Bradley in the tournament.
The NFL is well represented in the event with Bills quarterback Josh Allen and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers both participating.
Bradley and Brady are currently in a six-way deadlock for 20th place. The pair boast a -12 total through the first two rounds of the tournament.
