Nike’s “Be True To Your School” collection in recognition of college athletics is one of the most celebrated and recognizable design themes in the Beaverton brand’s arsenal. In recent months we’ve gotten a glimpse at a number of “Be True To Her School” sneakers, a remix that pays homage specifically to women in sports.
So far we’ve seen images of a Dunk High, Nike Uptempo, and a few Air Force 1s. Now, a GT Hustle 2 joins the mix, marking a departure from the favorability of 80s silhouettes among “Be True” sneakers. Nike’s latest delivery boasts a versatile gray, blue, and white color scheme, making it widely adoptable by a number of lauded womens athletic programs like UCONN and Gonzaga.
A durable mesh material covers the majority of the shoe, with pebbled leather on the toe giving way to a white midsole and icy blue outsole. Details appear on the insole with a “Be True To Her School” branded stamp, along with the year “2024” stitched into the heel in Roman numerals.
No release details have been set, but look for these to arrive sometime soon as Nike announces its plans for the larger collection.
