Among one of the longest-standing partnerships in sneakers, SoleFly and Jordan Brand have delivered a collaborative release almost every year for the past decade. 2022 is no exception, as the Miami-based retailer is dressing up the Air Jordan 13 in a colorway inspired by MJ’s retirement in 1998.
The SoleFly x Air Jordan 13 — which is scheduled to release tomorrow — takes the Tinker Hatfield-designed classic away from the court, letting it set sail into the opens seas. Here, the retailer has modeled the shoe’s design after that of a yacht, likely the “Catch 23” helmed by MJ himself. The ripstop materials used throughout the upper highlights notable aquatic performance materials, while the welded side panel mimics a feature typically found on maritime vessels. The “SoleFly” embroidery across the tongue and insole then stamps the shoe much like how a yacht would display its own name.

In other news, the Air Jordan 3 Reimagined is slated to March 2023.
