According to TNT’s Chris Haynes, Irving’s camp did not negotiate a potential contract extension with the Nets after the team presented him with an offer that was tied to winning the championship this season.

It’s said that even if the Nets offered a full max contract, Irving won’t take it, per Haynes.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns join the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks as the interested parties in trading for the All-Star guard.

Begley reports that both sides were unable to come to terms on an extension, and that Irving has asked to be moved ahead of the Feb. 9 NBA Trade Deadline. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks are expected to be among the teams interested in trading for the All-Star guard.
