Recent reports indicate that Napoli are looking at Udinese centre-back Nehuen Perez in case they are unable to land their first choice option, Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
The Partenopei remain in talks for Dragusin, who had also been linked with a move to the Premier League to join Tottenham in January, however, Aurelio De Laurentiis’ team are reportedly preparing for every possible eventuality.
It is no secret that Napoli would like to bring a new defender on board before the end of the January transfer window and, while Dragusin is still the no.1 pick, Perez is also fondly admired.
According to reports from TMW on Friday afternoon, If Napoli are unable to land Dragusin, they will instead look to sell Leo Ostigard separately in order to raise funds for a new centre-back signing.
At 23 years of age, would be an investment both for the present and future. He has played every single minute of Udinese’s 18 matches in Serie A so far in 2023-24.
There has also reportedly been signs of interest in Perez from both Milan and Fiorentina over the last few days according to Friday’s update.
