The Knicks are guaranteeing the contract’s of Svi Mykhailiuk and Ryan Arcidiacono for the remainder of the season.
Both players have seen some time late in games over the past few weeks.
Mykhailiuk is on his fifth team in as many seasons, and is averaging just 3.3 minutes per game across 12 appearances. Arcidiacono is averaging just 2.5 minutes in 10 appearances in his second season with the Knicks.
New York could’ve waived both players prior to Saturday at 5 p.m. without any finical impact, however, they decided to keep them around.
SNY’s Ian Begley noted that head coach Tom Thibodeau has offered praise of both players for their impact on the team.
