Former US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that Trump National Doral in Miami will again host one of LIV Golf’s tournaments during the 2024 season.
The announcement comes less than a month after LIV posted its 2024 schedule, without any of Trump’s courses listed among the venues.
On Friday morning, Trump posted on Truth Social that LIV will be returning to Doral for a tournament set for April 5-7, just before the Masters at Augusta.
‘TRUMP NATIONAL DORAL, in Miami, has just signed with LIV GOLF to host a Championship Tournament in April, 2024,’ Trump wrote. ‘The event they had at Doral in October was a major success!’
LIV is yet to make the tournament announcement official.
Trump National Doral was the setting for LIV Golf’s season finale in both 2022 and 2023
Doral hosted LIV’s season-finale in each of its first two years. However, the Saudi-funded league chose to culminate in Dallas for 2024.
LIV will not be returning to Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey or Trump National outside Washington DC, where it held a tournament in 2023.
LIV will open the season at El Camaleon Golf Course in Mayakoba, Mexico for the second straight season. The first event will run from February 2-4.
From there, LIV will host its first tournament in the US on the same weekend and in the same city as the Super Bowl. LIV players will descend on the Las Vegas Country Club from February 8-10 ahead of Super Bowl Sunday at Allegiant Stadium on February 11.
