Celtics come in No. 1 in H/H breakdown of ‘Which teams will accomplish the most in the next five years’

The future is bright for the Boston Celtics according to Hoops Hype cap expert Yossi Gozlan, who ranked the ball club No. 1 in his recent “Future Rankings: Which teams will accomplish the most in the next five years?” breakdown.

Per Gozlan, Boston has “an All-NBA, MVP candidate, and star in Jayson Tatum, who is just 25 years old” as well as “one of the best co-stars in Jaylen Brown who could probably lead his own team” to start along with Marcus Smart, Derrick White, and Robert Williams III on team-friendly deals. Add that to an “(a)ggressive and pragmatic front office willing to pay high prices for players that fit their mold,” and it isn’t hard to see why Gozlan is bullish on Boston.

The H/H analyst also cites the Celtics’ retention of draft picks to make additional moves as needed and a willingness of ownership to pay the luxury tax when the results on the court warrant it.

In fact, Gozlan has little ill to say of the franchise’s medium-term outlook, noting Brown’s potential flight risk as an unrestricted free agent at the end of his current deal.

He also raises Timelord’s questionable health, the rising cost of payroll, and the lack of information on how good of a postseason coach Joe Mazzulla will be. All things being equal — good problems to have.
