Fans of the Boston Celtics have been watching the Green Kornet — better known as Boston big man Luke Kornet — spread his (metaphorical) wings with the Celtics this season, the Vanderbilt alum finally getting on the floor to play some real minutes with the ball club where he was previously charged with garbage time only floor time.
And even though Kornet could have likely played more than he has in the past based on what we have seen from him thus far in 2022-23, you won’t hear a twinge of regret from the Celtics center — winning is the chief goal that matters to Kornet.
The Kentucky native recently sat down with the team to talk about his changing role in Boston, what it took to get there, and what he hopes for the future in a recent clip created for the Celtics’ official YouTube channel.
