While it is probably confusing Boston Celtics fans grappling with whether to let Celtics forward Grant Williams call himself “Batman” for a nickname, the notoriously geeky Boston swingman took things in a decidedly different (comic book) direction after a career night against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, coming up with Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) analogs for himself and every other member of the Celtics.

Our friends over at the CLNS Media Celtics Lab Podcast put together a thread of tweets with some side-by-side visual comparisons to help out the visually-oriented among us sort through Williams’ comparisons, which we decided to assess for overall accuracy.

Let’s take a look at who the Boston Avengers, er — Celtics would be in the Tennessee product’s version of the MCU.

Marcus Smart as the Incredible Hulk

Really good dude whose superpower can get him into trouble at times, but usually ends with him saving the day? Check.

Al Horford as Captain America

The leader of the good guys who uses his shielding capabilities to devastating effect? Not too bad!

Jaylen Brown as Black Panther

A warrior for justice, especially among those on the wrong end of structural racism? You’d be hard-pressed to find a better fit for JB, to be honest.

Aaron Nesmith as Drax the Destroyer

A rampaging maniac who gets taken out but then is revived to rejoin the fight when it really matters? Check.

Sam Hauser as Hawkeye

A long-distance marksman as a long-distance marksman? As on the nose as Jaylen Brown as Black Panther.

Luke Kornet as Groot

Can use his super-long appendages to tie up an enemy as much as he can to inflict offensive damage — not too bad.

Nik Stauskas as Ant Man

Known to come up with a steal with effective if one-dimensional offense, this one isn’t too bad a comparison in our estimation.

Rob Williams III as Thor

Has skills throwing down a hammer to stop opponents in their tracks or get them on their heels trying to defend it? Very good comp.

Daniel Theis as Captain Marvel

While some might get hung up on gender, both DID join the enemy without intending to, only to return home and kick posteriors with the good guys again.

Jayson Tatum as Vision

One of if not the most powerful and important superheroes, we can totally see why he went Vision with JT.

Payton Pritchard as Quicksilver

Super fast and willing to make significant sacrifices for his team, we can see the connection here, though the offensive game Fast PP brings to the table is perhaps a bit understated.

Matt Ryan as Star Lord

A durable fighter who can shoot with the best of them who kind of stumbled into joining the good guys, there’s some good connections here.

Malik Fitts as Doctor Strange

A traveler who stumbles onto the opportunity of a lifetime involving his amazing abilities to change the very frequencies of the universe’s vibrations with arcane magic first used on the edges of the world, about as good as anyone he might have come up with.

Brodric Thomas as Rocket Raccoon

Much faster and more agile and strong than you might assume at first glance who is still an important part of the team, we see what Grant’s doing here.

Derrick White as Iron Man

The first to sacrifice personally for his team, he keeps them connected while providing an array of defensive and offensive weapons to take the team to the next level. Check.

Ime Udoka as Nick Fury

The grizzled, veteran leader of the team, he gets a defensive squad together so powerful, they save the planet. Check, once again.

Grant Williams as Spiderman

The idea behind him being Batman is maybe a bit stronger, but since we are in the MCU, we can see why Grant would give a smart young hero who starts out strong, but builds up his defensive chops and offensive capabilities to come back stronger.

But for a nickname, we prefer “Batman” if we’re being honest.
