WATCH: C’s head coach Joe Mazzulla shows off 3-point shot originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Joe Mazzulla looks like he could suit up and give the Boston Celtics a few points off the bench this season.

Of course, he’ll be busy getting acclimated as the C’s interim head coach, but he showed off his shot before Wednesday’s preseason matchup vs. the Toronto Raptors. Mazzulla took the court at TD Garden and drilled a couple of 3-pointers during a game of pickup.

Former Celtics guard Eddie House was impressed with Mazzulla’s shooting stroke.

“Lefties always look smooth no matter what. I’ve never really seen a left-handed shooter whose shot was ugly,” House said on Celtics Pregame Live.

Brian Scalabrine, however, says not to let the clip of Mazzulla’s 3s fool you.

“Nah, I’ve played with Joe. I can’t believe he made both of those shots,” Scal said. “I think being a head coach has improved his jumper, because his shot was not great before.

“I’ll tell you what, though. He is tough. If he is on you, you better just pass the ball and set a screen because he could guard you. You showed the makes, I think those are anomalies if you’re asking me.”

Looks like they might have to settle this in a friendly game of 1-on-1.

Mazzulla never played in the NBA, but he did play at West Virginia from 2006-11. The 34-year-old averaged 4.8 points, 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Mountaineers.
