Adam Kunkel, a former Cooper High School standout who played the past three seasons for the Xavier University Musketeers, agreed to join the Golden State Warriors’ NBA Summer League team, according to a report Saturday via Twitter from DraftExpress.com’s Jon Chepkevich. The tweet was retweeted by @XavierMBB.

Kunkel retweeted that he completed a pre-draft workout with the Warriors earlier this month, as well as one with the New York Knicks.

Kunkel averaged 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 30.4 minutes per game in 35 games last season for the Muskies. In 85 games over three seasons at XU, he averaged 9.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.3 minutes per game. He played two seasons at Belmont before transferring to Xavier.

Kunkel’s XU teammate the past three seasons, Colby Jones, was selected in the second round of the NBA draft earlier this week and traded to the Sacramento Kings.
