Why have the Boston Celtics and Jaylen Brown not finished getting his supermax extension done yet? Word around the league is that the Cs are ready to offer a whopping $295 million supermax contract extension to their superstar forward, but the deal has yet to materialize for reasons that, at least for now, we can only speculate about.
Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe suggests that both parties have “other matters” to handle first before settling the contract. This contract negotiation was set to begin over the first weekend of the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League, but as of yet, there is still no sign of a deal.
Join CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning and Josue Pavon as they delve into the ongoing buzz around Brown and his potential supermax contract with the Celtics in the video embedded below.
