The five-time Masters champion was in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman for six years, but split up in 2022. Both Woods and Herman are currently involved in an ongoing legal battle.

Who is Erica Herman?
According to the Palm Beach Post, Herman grew up in Palm Beach County, attending Santaluces High School in the early 2000s.
She would go on to attend both Palm Beach State College and the University of Central Florida – where she graduated from UCF in May 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in legal studies.
Herman has previously worked in the restaurant industry. She worked as the general manager at Woods’ Jupiter restaurant for several months.
Radar Online reported that the pair were not only romantic partners, but business partners as well.
Before meeting Woods, Herman is said to have had a sordid past. Radar Online reported that she was known as both a ‘hard partier’ and a ‘gold digger’.
Sources said: ‘Erica is a big partier.’
The outlet’s source also alleged that Erica has had her sights set on dating Woods for about a decade.
‘Erica’s been chasing Tiger around like a puppy for close to 10 years. I’m not sure if his wife knew, but I’m not sure how she couldn’t know. I can’t believe Tiger’s out in public with her now,’ the source said.
Radar Online also reported that Erica has had a history of ‘financial woes’ and may have received help from Tiger at one point.

When did Herman meet Woods?
Herman and Woods started dating in 2017. However, originally, the pair did not make the relationship official until a short time after.
During the Presidents Cup in New Jersey back in September 2017, Herman was seen wearing a ‘player spouse’ badge, usually given to wives and girlfriends.
Soon after, Woods and Herman went public about their relationship.
She went on to support Woods in person at numerous golf tournaments, including his incredible Masters win in 2019.
After six years together, the pair ended their relationship in October 2022. Both Herman and Woods were last seen together at the US Open last August.

Why is there an ongoing legal battle between the pair?
Following their split last year, Woods claimed that Herman is a ‘jilted ex-girlfriend’ who has never accused him of sexual assault or sexual harassment in a lawsuit over her right to live in his Florida mansion.
Herman has alleged sexual abuse in a lawsuit to void an NDA in a $30million lawsuit against the golfer and also claims he tricked her into leaving the Florida mansion they lived in together for six years following their breakup in October.
She claimed that she had an oral agreement with Woods’s trust – the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust – which is the legal owner of his mansion in Hobe Sound where the two lived together, that allowed her to live at the property for 11 years.
