First rumored in late September 2022, the Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low finally sees a release over the next week.

Inspired by the Mexican beverage company’s heritage, which has been embraced by skaters in the U.S. over the last two decades, the collaboration merges two seemingly different worlds. Since 1950, Jarritos has delivered naturally-flavored soft drinks to countless consumers across the globe.

“This collaboration…allows us to reach more consumers who are seeking authentic products with a rich history and deeply rooted culture,” said Eric Delamare, Director of Marketing for Jarritos in an official press release.

In terms of color, the latest Nike SB Dunk release is undoubtedly “Jarritos”-informed. Clean “White” leather bases set the stage for “Phantom”-colored canvas panels around the toe, along the tongue, and across the heel. The light grey tone draws a direct line to the canvas bags used to harvest the fresh fruits Jarritos uses for its drinks. Despite lacking in durability, the cloth material hides a vibrant “Safety Orange” hue that surfaces with wear, further promoting the Mexican brand’s heritage. Other notable details of the Jarritos SB Dunk include: a special logo on the tongue label and sockliners, Jarritos jug emblem on the lateral heel, and an all-over print on the insoles.

Additionally, the link-up delivers an apparel collection that includes tees, hoodies, and button-down collared shirts.

The special collaboration will release at select skate shops on Saturday, May 6th. Unlike with other high-heat releases, most retailers are hosting local raffles, so plan accordingly. The SB Dunk Low by Jarritos releases via the Nike SNKRS app on Wednesday, May 10th. Pricing for the beverage-inspired shoe is $130 USD.
