Rory McIlroy is back in action on Day Two of The Open, with Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm also teeing off today.

Day One saw Christo Lamprecht produce a brilliant performance after shooting a five-under-par round.

McIlroy, the world No 2, carded a wild 71 yesterday at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club. His pursuit of a first major in nine years will require a comeback from five shots behind. The 34-year-old comes into the tournament off an impressive win at the Scottish Open, finishing finish 15 under in North Berwick ahead of Robert MacIntyre.

Rahm will be looking for another big win this week. The Spaniard has already claimed the Masters title in the final round at Augusta.

What time is McIlroy and other big names in action?

McIlroy is set to get underway this morning, with the Northern Irishman due to tee off at 9.58am.

The former world No 1 was also paired in the same group as Jon Rahm and Justin Rose.

Scottie Scheffler is also in action today, with the world No 1 set to tee off at 2.48pm this afternoon.

The American is in the same group as Tommy Fleetwood and Adam Scott.
