What makes a player worthy of being inducted into the Hall of Fame? With another class of athletes, coaches, and journalists having been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, the question of who deserves to get in next always comes up — and conversely, who does not comes with any such discussion.
It is of course important to remember that the Hoops Hall is not the Boston Celtics or NBA Hall of Fame, but rather one that covers the entire sport domestically and abroad at every level. That makes players who balled out in Europe, the Olympics, or at the NCAA level (or some combination of them) more likely to punch their ticket to basketball Valhalla.
