Manzano showed a straight red to Aaron Cresswell early in the 1-0 defeat in Frankfurt and was accused of showing bias towards the German hosts.

Rice’s ban would carry over into the Champions League and Europa League if he left West Ham, though the under-contract 23-year-old is set to stay at the club this summer and wear the captain’s armband next season after Mark Noble’s retirement.
