In-Season Tournament – San Antonio Spurs v Golden State Warriors

We’ve heard some interesting pronunciations of Victor Wembanyama’s name since he was taken atop last June’s NBA Draft, and a few interesting attempts at spelling his name around the Web.

But for the Spurs to misspell his name on his jersey is another level. That’s what happened in a nationally televised game Friday night against the Warriors — Wembanyama played the first half in a jersey with his name spelled “Wembanyana” with an “N” second from the end.

He came out in a different jersey with his name spelled correctly for the second half.

This wasn’t the only rare Wembanyama moment from this game — the 7’4″ Frenchman got his shot blocked by Gary Payton II.

The Warriors picked up the 118-112 win, keeping their hopes of advancing in the In Season Tournament alive.
