Bangladesh were off to a poor start in their first innings on Thursday, December 15, as all the batters struggled against Siraj, who was bowling exceptionally well.
On the first ball of the 14th over, Siraj and Litton Das were involved in a verbal banter. Siraj bowled a 140kmph delivery to Litton, who defended it on the back foot, and then in his followthrough, the pacer said a few words to the Bangladesh batter. Litton Das came down the track to get back to Siraj and cheekily signaled that he didn’t hear anything.

The war of words with Siraj had an impact on the Bangladesh batter as on the very next ball of the over, he bottom-edged a good length delivery onto his stumps to get dismissed. Litton Das scored 24 runs off 30 runs, including 5 fours.
