Klay Thompson was scorching-hot on Saturday night.
Warriors fans haven’t heard that as much as they had hoped so far this season, but in the second quarter of the Warriors’ marquee matchup with the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks, Thompson was in peak form.
After scoring just four points in the opening frame, Thompson dropped 17 on the Bucks in the second quarter, including five 3-pointers.
Klay has been struggling as of late, specifically with his shot. That certainly wasn’t the case against the Bucks.

Since returning from a two-plus year absence, Thompson hasn’t had many explosive Klay-type games. His best game so far this season came against the Los Angeles Lakers on Feb. 12 when we dropped 33 points in 30 minutes.
With 21 points in the first half against the Bucks, Klay has a chance to match, or maybe even beat, his season-high.
