USMNT attacker Christian Pulisic takes a cheeky dig at star-studded MLS crowd that turned out for Lionel Messi: ‘Let them know they’re invited to US national team games too’

USMNT and AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic jokingly invited the stars of Hollywood to show up for team USA’s games in the same fashion they were seen attending Inter Miami vs LAFC.

After many chose to pay extra attention to the amount of celebrities that showed up to watch Lionel Messi and his star-studded teammate play last year’s defending champions, Pulisic took to his Instagram story to send out the open invitation.

The player who has become known around the world as ‘Captain America’ reposted a video from MLS that showed several of the famous faces in the crowd and was captioned ‘the stars shone bright for MLS matchday,’ and covered it with his own caption.

Pulisic’s caption read: ‘Let them know they’re invited to US national team games too,’ along with a ‘crying laughing’ emoji at the end.

Although several of the celebrities that drew attention on Apple TV’s broadcast mentioned that they are regular attendees of LAFC games, the USMNT has not been documented having a similar turnout for games.

The USMNT is set to take on Uzbekistan and Oman in friendlies during the international break

As Europe’s major leagues are preparing for the upcoming international break, Pulisic will be one of the USA’s many foreign based players returning stateside for the two upcoming friendlies.

America is set to play games against Uzbekistan in St. Louis and Oman in Minneapolis, although based on the level of competition from the two opposing teams along with the fact neither game is in a hotspot for the rich and famous, it is unlikely many celebs will accept the invitation during the upcoming window.

Team USA will be facing off against Germany in East Hartford, Connecticut before traveling to Nashville to take on Ghana during the next international window and those games will at least feature opponents that will draw larger crowds.

Regardless of the more entertaining opposition team USA will be face two windows from now however, there stands a high chance that Pulisic’s invitation will not be taken up by some of Hollywood’s finest until the upcoming Copa America and World Cup competitions that are set to take place on American soil.

Although the fans sitting in the crowd for Pulisic’s club games are not receiving the same attention as those at Miami’s, Pulisic has gotten off to a tremendous start to his career in Milan.

He has started throughout his first three Serie A games for the Italian giants Pulisic has recorded two goals and started each game.
