USA captain Stacy Lewis unveils her team to face Europe in the Solheim Cup with LPGA breakout star Rose Zhang getting the call up alongside World No. 1 Lilia Vu and No. 2 Nelly Korda
USA captain Stacy Lewis unveiled her 12-player team to take on Europe at the Solheim Cup in Spain next month.
LPGA breakout star Rose Zhang, along with Jennifer Kupcho, Danielle Kang, Andrea Lee and Lexi Thompson, were locked in Monday as the final automatic qualifiers for Team USA.
World No. 1 golfer Lilia Vu, world No. 2 Nelly Korda, this year’s US Women’s Open winner Allisen Corpuz and Megan Khang had already been confirmed as members of the Stars and Stripes to take on Suzann Pettersen’s European team at Finca Cortesin in Andalucia, Spain, on September 22-24.
The USA team was rounded out with three captain’s picks, with Ally Ewing, Cheyenne Knight and Angel Yin getting the call up from Lewis.
