Here we take a look at one of Skoaktiebolaget’s latest offerings: The Espadrille by Castañer.
Casteñer is one of the top espadrille makers coming out of Spain. A brand that I stumbled across many years ago in the Dominican Republic offering something some of the coolest dress-style espadrilles that I had ever seen. I was thoroughly impressed by what I saw but for some reason, over there, they cost around $250. I imagine because they had to be imported into the DR, which is not cheap. But I kept them on my radar ever since and even one day hope to visit their factory.
The famous Swedish shoe store Skoaktiebolaget discovered them too and recently picked up their classic offering in canvas and also in suede. And according to Skoaktiebolaget, they have been a big hit for them, which comes as no surprise. You can read more about them here as I featured them a few weeks ago
