Young Philadephia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey continues to take the league by storm and put them on notice on a nightly basis. After a very impressive end to the regular season adjusting to a new role, he has carried his play into the playoffs as he has been tough to stop in Round 1.

The Toronto Raptors were expected to be a tough opponent for the Sixers in this first round, but Philadelphia has made it look easy on their way to a 2-0 lead in the series. That is thanks largely to the play of Maxey who is averaging 30.5 points per game on 68.8% shooting in the series.

Maxey is the second player in NBA playoff history at 21-years old or younger to average at least 30 points on 60% shooting over a two-game span in the playoffs since LeBron James in 2006.

As the series now shifts to Toronto for Game 3 on Wednesday, it will be on Maxey to continue to grow as a player and help the team take care of business on the road. He had a few good road playoff moments as a rookie in 2021, but Toronto will be a tough atmosphere for him and the Sixers to get it done.
