The Boston Celtics had their share of international players in the 2021-22 NBA season: reserve center Bruno Fernando, backup big man Enes Freedom Kanter, forward Juancho Hernangomez, old friend Daniel Theis, starting forward Al Horford and German floor general Dennis Schroder.
In fact, several were quite good for Boston over the course of the campaign, the latter two even caught the eye of the NBA when it was assembling its recently released “best international players making plays” video to highlight the skills of overseas players when it came to moving the rock around the court last season.
