With the win in Sunday night’s game, India have clinched a series victory against South Africa at home for the first time in four attempts. Earlier, South Africa National Cricket Team won the toss and elected to bowl first in the match. The Proteas made one change as the highest-ranked spinner in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings, Tabraiz Shamsi, was dropped and pacer Lungi Ngidi was included in the playing XI. India, on the other hand, fielded an unchanged playing XI.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul provided India with a great start in the match with the latter being the aggressor. At the end of the powerplay, the Men In Blue were at 57/0.
The Indian openers added 96 runs in 59 balls before Rohit Sharma was cleaned up by Keshav Maharaj in the 10th over. India National Cricket Team skipper scored 43 runs off 37 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six.
Maharaj also cleaned up KL Rahul in the 12th over. Rahul smashed brilliant 57 runs off 28 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes.
Then, Suryakumar Yadav came out all guns blazing and smashed a half-century off just 18 balls. He became the fastest player to complete 1000 runs in terms of balls faced (573) in T20I history.

Suryakumar added 102 runs in 42 balls with former India captain Virat Kohli, before getting run-out in the 19th over of the match. The 32-year-old smashed terrific 61 runs off 22 balls, including 5 fours and 5 sixes.
In the end, Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten and they helped India post 237/3 on the board. Kohli smashed brilliant 49 runs off 28 balls, including 7 fours and 1 sixes, and Dinesh Karthik smashed 17 runs off 7 balls, including 1 four and 2 sixes.
Chasing the target, South Africa were once again off to an awful start as the first over was a maiden over and in the second over Arshdeep Singh cleaned up both Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw for a duck.
At the end of the powerplay, Proteas were at 45/2. Batter Aiden Markram played a counterattack knock of 33 runs, but he got castled by Axar Patel in the 7th over.

Then, David Miller and Quinton de Kock had an outstanding partnership for the 4th wicket. They added 50 runs in 33 balls and 100 runs in 54 balls. The Miller-De Kock duo had a *174-run partnership, but they were unable to help the Proteas win the match. David Miller smashed an astonishing 106 runs off 47 balls and Quinton de Kock smashed 69 runs off 48 balls.
Here’s How Twitter Reacted To The Second T20I Clash Between India and South Africa:
Happy to see #TeamIndia continuing journey of successive victories. Both teams displayed quality cricket. India showed grit & experience in both bat & ball. Team spirit & coordinated approach made us victorious. Kudos to @imVkohli @ImRo45 @klrahul @surya_14kumar & @arshdeepsinghh

A T20 series win for the first time against South Africa.. Congratulations to @imro45 and Team India. Congratulations also to David Miller for an entertaining hundred today. ♥️🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/4cNC0jKEB9

Good win for India, but concerns About bowling enhanced. In Bumrah’s absence, attack looks mediocre. SA bowled poorly and de Kock was off colour, match would have been much closer. MOM? Usually star performer for winning team is the pick, but Between Miller & SKY it’s a toss up

Death bowling, even with so many in the bank, remains a problem.

If it had not been for the 7 ball duck by Bavuma, this hundred by Miller probably wouldn’t have ended on a losing knock.
In fact, even QdK could have paced his inns better. He was 28 off 30 at one point.
