Best of all, the PGA has revealed the respective handicaps of the amateur stars, some of which may come as a surprise.

Brady, for instance, has an 8-handicap, which is a numerical score that measure a golfer’s ability and helps to level the playing field between golfers of varying abilities. The handicap conveys the number of strikes a golfer is expected to make above or below par on any particular course.

More surprising is Rodgers’ 4-handicap, which is dramatically different from 2023, when the four-time NFL MVP won the event with a supposed 10-handicap. He and teammate Ben Silverman finished at a whopping 26-under to win by a single shot.

Meanwhile, the Bills’ Allen and the retired Gasol boast handicaps of nine and 10, respectively.

As for the pairings, Brady will be playing with Keegan Bradley, while Beau Hossler joins the Jets’ Rodgers, Emiliano Grillo teams with Gasol, and Keith Mitchell plays with Allen.

A year ago, Mitchell referred to Rodgers’ 10-handicap as ‘crap.’

‘I think Josh [Allen] and I won. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t count,’ Mitchell said. ‘His handicap was c**p.

‘I haven’t looked. I think we were, on 18 we might have been up there. But if we finish second to Aaron I consider us winning the trophy.’

Also playing among the amateurs is Dr. Neal Elattrache, the surgeon who repaired Rodgers’ ruptured Achilles last year.

The pro-am event begins on Thursday at 3pm local time.
