Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie, certainly got the crowd going at the PNC Championship on Sunday after hitting an impressive shot into the green, which he later claimed to have intentionally done.

On hole 18 of the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, Charlie, 13, used his driver from 234 yards out to pull a low burner that narrowly escaped a greenside bunker and bolted onto the fringe. Incredibly enough, once the golf ball stopped rolling, it was only 40 feet from the hole

‘Where’d it go?’ Charlie, 13, teasingly asked his 46-year-old father with a smile. Both were rocking red tops with black pants and shoes — a familiar color combo worn by the 15-time major champion.

‘Just get in the cart,’ an unamused Tiger said in response.

‘Perfect. I meant to do that,’ Charlie then quipped.

The teen tidied up a birdie putt at the par-5 18th and ended up carding a 65 along with his father, who he shared a warm huge with after completing the hole.

The pair also made birdie at 10, 12 and 13 but finished the tournament on 20-under.

In the end it was Vijay Singh, 59 and his son, Qass, who won the PNC Championship after finishing on 26-under.

The ‘Big Fijian’ and his son shot an opening 59 on Saturday and replicated the same total on Sunday, before wrapping up the tournament by shooting an eagle.

Tiger will now take a break over the holiday period ahead of participating in majors in 2023.

He previously said he was motivated by playing one or two more tournaments that aren’t The Masters, Open, U.S. Open and PGA Championship.

However, that depends on his recovery from plantar fasciitis, a reoccurring foot injury since being involved in a car crash last year, which shattered his right leg.

Last week, prior to the start of the PNC Championship, an emotional Woods said ‘seeing the faces’ of his son Charlie and 15-year-old daughter Sam has helped him return to golf.
