The Masters: Meet the golf stars’ stunning partners, including Wayne Gretzky’s daughter

The Masters in Augusta, Georgia, is less than 24 hours away. The final preparations on the course are being made, the golf pros are fine tuning their shots while the support cast are jetting in for the first major of the year.

Part of that cast are the glamorous wives and girlfriends of the ultimate stars of the show.

Their wives, fiancees, and girlfriends regularly accompany their beaus on tour and are seen cheering them on among the throngs of fans.

But who exactly are the females behind the talented golfers? While some of them try to stay out of the public eye and live a private life, others flaunt their lavish lifestyles.

From how they met their golfer beaus and a look into their relationships to their own careers and achievements, Dailymail.com delves into the lives of the WAGS of the top golfers competing at this week’s Masters Tournament.

Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky

Dustin Johnson, 38, and Paulina Gretzky, 34 – daughter of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky – started dating in 2013, four years after they first met.

‘I don’t know if you can call it a date since my dad tagged along,’ she later told Golf Magazine of their first date. ‘That’s how it goes in our family.’

The American golfer must have passed the test of arguably the greatest hockey player ever as he popped the question in August 2013.

Gretzky is an actress, model and singer from Los Angeles, California. The glamorous WAG has featured in Grown Ups 2 (2013), Fame (2009) and Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012) and has also had record deals. 

The couple currently live together in Florida and have two sons – Tatum, who was born in 2015, and River Jones arrived two years later.

Following the arrival of their first child Paulina, who has one million Instagram followers, couldn’t stop gushing about her beau’s parenting.

‘Dustin’s the best dad. He’s my best friend. He’s been so supportive with me and we’re just there for each other,’ she told People Magazine.

Five years ago rumors emerged that the couple had split with Paulina removing all of their loving snaps together from her Instagram profile but she soon addressed the situation on Twitter.

‘Every relationship goes through its ups and downs, but most importantly, we love each other very much and are committed to being a family,’ she wrote. ‘Thank you for your love and support.’

She was the first to congratulate him after he won the Masters in the winter of 2020, running on to the green and giving him a big smooch as soon as he clinched victory, He told People at the event that she is ‘such a bigger supporter’ of his.

‘Obviously with golf or any professional athlete, or even a business, you got to have somebody to support you,’ he said. 

‘I’ve spent a lot of time away from home, or at the golf course, or traveling on the road, whatever it is.

‘So you need that special person, especially with the kids, she does a great job taking care of everything else so all I got to do is worry about golf.’ 

He also told Golf Week, ‘For me, golf was always the most important thing. And now, it’s Paulina and the kids.

‘And they’ll always be the most important. Obviously, I love the game of golf, competing and playing. But they’re the most important thing.’

After a long engagement the couple finally tied the knot in April 2022 at the luxury hotel and resort Blackberry Farm in Tennessee.

She donned an exquisite, see-through, Vera Wang wedding gown. The sheer, figure-hugging number was covered head to toe in crystals and had a plunging neckline.

The pair wed under a tent built on Blackberry Farm – which has a nightly rate starting at $1,045 – before moving to another tent for the celebration afterwards.

For the reception, Paulina switched into a silky, charmeuse gown, which was accented by intersecting crystal straps.

Her blonde locks were left loose, with curls flowing around her face. As for her makeup, she opted for a natural look, using a soft pink lip color and a smoky eye.

The pair exchanged vows in front of a glamorous crowd of friends and family, including Bravo reality stars Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover, and Austen Kroll. 

The wedding also included a performance from Kid Rock, who sang a cover of Chris Stapleton’s ‘Joy of My Life.’ 

Johnson, who defected to the rebel LIV Golf Tour, will be cheered on once again by his wife – and she’s ready. Paulina posted some polaroid pictures of her in red sports shorts and a crop top, finished off with a white jacket, featuring the Masters logo on the front and ‘Johnson’ written on the back.

Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims Koepka 

Brooks Koepka, 32, and Jena Sims, 34, met in 2015 at the Masters tournament.

‘We met at the 2015 Masters. And that’s so special because I’m from Georgia, so it’s perfect,’ she told Golf Digest in 2019.

‘We were on hole seven, which I don’t even remember, but he’s like, “Oh, I remember what you were wearing, where we were standing, everything.”‘

She said she was a longtime golf fan and had always grown up watching the sport because of her dad. 

After five years together, the couple got engaged in April 2021. 

The duo shared the exciting news via Instagram, with Sims posting a few photos of the magical moment Brooks dropped down to his knee and asked her to marry him. 

‘Forever is no joke,’ she said in the caption of her pics. In another post, she called it the ‘best day of her life.’

The romantic proposal took place on a beach in Jupiter, Florida. The golfer was wearing a white Givenchy t-shirt, black pants, and white sneaks, while Jena opted for a light purple mini-dress and white Nike sneakers. 

Koepka shared her post to his Instagram story, adding, ‘Finally…’

In September 2021, he opened up about how his now-wife changed his life.

‘The way I’m wired, I’m all on or all off. Maybe I didn’t understand that the first 25 years of my life, but in the past five years I’ve been able to own who I am and find that happiness,’ he told Golf Digest.

‘I don’t know if that’s because of Jena or because I understand more of how things work, but you mature a little more.

‘I can’t put my finger on it. But when it comes together, and you see what works, you say, this is the program, and I’m going to stick with it.’ 

Sims is an actress and is most known for her role in the Sharknado movies – is often photographed supporting her husband at his golf events, telling the outlet in 2019 that she loves ‘being able to support Brooks and watch him.’ 

‘He’s so talented. It’s so much fun to watch him,’ she gushed.

Born in Georgia, Sims, attended Belmont University where she studied International Business. She went on to work as an actress and model with her acting credits including the lead role in Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader, a comedic horror movie made in 2012. 

Before taking up acting, Sims won several beauty pageants. She was crowned Miss Georgia Junior National Teenager, along with Miss Georgia Teen USA in 2007.

Plus, she founded Pageant of Hope – a non-profit organization which ‘aims to raise awareness and support in giving children and teenagers who face serious challenges the opportunity to shine and be celebrated for who they are,’ according to its website.

They got married in June 2022 with the ceremony held in Turks and Caicos.

There were no photos from the ceremony itself as they requested no cellphones be used as they tied the knot on Providenciales island – but photos posted to Sims’ Instagram afterwards showed her dancing next to her new husband in a short, frilly white dress as rapper Ludacris performed.

The couple was also seen jumping into a swimming pool together and cutting their wedding cake, as Sims showed off her glittery, strapless bridal gown.

Sims uploaded a snap of their wedding bed at the Amanyara hotel – a five-star luxury beach resort that borders North West Point Marine National Park. The bed was decorated with a heart made of rose petals and the initials of their first names ‘J & B’.

In golf’s big Netflix documentary ‘Full Swing’ Koepka reveals he plays with the No. 33 on his golf balls as it is his wife’s favorite number and they got engaged on March 3.

Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll

One of the sport’s biggest names tends to keep his family life out of the public eye. His wife Erica has a private Instagram account.

McIlroy met his American wife in 2012 when she was working for the PGA of America and they married at a lavish $249,000 event at Ashworth Castle in Co Mayo, Ireland, in 2017, two years after getting engaged. 

‘She is a low-key person but she brings a level of normality to everything. She has a calming presence and that’s not just on me, it is noticeable in any company,’ McIlroy told the Daily Mail.

‘She has been a great influence on me and has brought such a great balance to my life, between who I am when people see me out in the public eye and who I am at home.’

The couple, based in Florida, welcomed their first child – daughter Poppy Kennedy McIlroy – in May 2021. 

Sharing a black and white photo of himself holding the newborn’s hand, McIlroy thanked staff at Jupiter Medical Centre in Florida for their ‘amazing care.’

‘Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, born August 31st, 12:15pm. She is the absolute love of our lives. Mother and baby are doing great,’ the four-time major winner wrote. 

Scottie Scheffler and Meredith Scudder

Scottie Scheffler, 26, and his wife, Meredith Scudder, also 26, tied the knot in 2020, after dating for six years.

The couple are high school sweethearts, both attending Highland Park High School during their teenage years.

When it came time for them to head off to college, the pair both went to different schools in Texas but stayed together. They both graduated in 2018, and the sports star popped the questions two years later. 

At the time, Meredith gushed, ‘YES! I can’t believe God gave me my best friend to spend the rest of my life with.

‘Can’t wait to be your wife, Scottie! Blown away at the Lord’s faithfulness and goodness to us. [LET’S] DO THIS!’

They got married in December of that year at Arlington Hall in Dallas, with Scottie taking to Instagram to celebrate their anniversary a year later.

‘Very grateful for one year of marriage to my best friend! God is good,’ he wrote at the time.

The two have kept their romance pretty low-key other than that – with Scheffler hardly ever sharing any pics with his wife to social media, and her accounts set to private. However, she is often spotted at his matches supporting him. 

In fact, when the Masters kicked off last year she was by his side on the green. And when he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2022, she jumped into his arms to celebrate.

‘Meredith obviously knows me better than anybody, being my wife,’ he gushed during an interview at the event, per Golf.com.

‘She knows how hard it is when I don’t win. So being able to celebrate a win is pretty special, and to have my parents here for this one is extremely cool with all the sacrifices they made growing up. I’m just really pleased.’ 

Scudder is currently the co-founder, vice president, and event planning team leader at With Purpose: College Station – a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness for childhood cancer research – according to her LinkedIn.

She previously worked for various different humanitarian organizations, including Family Legacy and Live Beyond.

Rickie Fowler and Allison Stokke

The 34-year-old American got down on one knee and proposed to American track and field athlete Allison Stokke in June 2018 after dating for around a year.

‘Today is National Best Friend Day so I wanted to lock mine down…I WON!!’ Fowler posted on social media.

Stokke, from California, flashed the huge rock on her finger onto her own Instagram account, writing: ‘Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And happy national best friend day to my best best best friend [WINK EMOJI]! I love you!!!’

Stokke is a professional pole vaulter and has modeled for brands Nike, Athleta, Uniqlo.

Back in 2007, images of her competing as a 17-year-old circulated the internet sparked controversy, drawing sexualized commentary about her appearance.

The couple tied the knot in October 2019 and welcome their first child – Maya – two years later. 

Jordan Spieth and Annie Verret

Jordan Spieth, 29, popped the question to his high school sweetheart Annie Verret, also 29, in 2017.

He later said of the proposal: ‘It was nice. My brother was in town and her sister got in town, so we had our families there afterwards and it was a great night, really exciting.’ 

Spieth and the Texas Tech graduate officially tied the knot in November 2018 – getting married in their home state of Texas – and according to Golf.com, fellow golf stars Fowler, Jason Dufner, Jimmy Walker, and Zach Johnson were some of the players in attendance. 

Their son Sammy arrived on November 14, 2021. ‘Mama and baby doing great!’ Spieth shared on Instagram after his birth. ‘Feeling blessed!’ 

Although Annie does appear on Jordan’s social media sporadically, her own Instagram account is private. 

‘My wife has been just a rock to me,’ he told SI.com in April 2021 following his win at the Valero Texas Open. ‘This is my first win since we’ve been married so it’s been progressing this way since maybe December. 

‘Before that, there were a lot of tough times. When you’re struggling at work, you try not to bring it home and that kind of stuff. I’m very grateful for the people I have around me.’

According to Golf Monthly, she works as an event coordinator at The First Tee of Greater Dallas – an organization dedicated to inspiring underprivileged children through golf.

The couple reportedly live in a $7.7million Texas mansion. 

While Tiger Woods will be flying solo this weekend!

The 15-time major winner will not be accompanied at Augusta this week after his heavily-publicized split from girlfriend Erica Herman.

Woods, 47, has headed to the Masters of the golfing calendar with personal issues surrounding him once again. 

Ex-girlfriend Herman, 38, has alleged sexual abuse to void an NDA in a $30m lawsuit against the golfer – accusations Woods has denied – and also claims he tricked her into leaving the Florida mansion they lived in together for six years following their breakup in October.

Woods was not questioned about his ex or their ongoing legal battle when speaking to the press ahead of the first major of the year.

This was the first time the American golf star had addressed reporters since it was revealed he had split from Herman last month – with the pair breaking up after a six-year relationship.

Herman was first spotted at the Presidents Cup in New Jersey in October 2017.

She had worked as general manager at the restaurant – a pop-up at the Genesis Open at The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California – owned by Woods, and once they started dating the two became inseparable, with Erica regularly supporting him at golf tournaments.

Rumors first began swirling about them after Erica was seen wearing a ‘player spouse’ badge, usually given to wives and girlfriends.

The following month, Tiger and Erica went public about their relationship.

The couple reportedly lived together in Jupiter, Florida.

Woods shares his two children — 14-year-old daughter Sam and 13-year-old son Charlie — with ex-wife Elin Nordegren. 

The couple married in 2004, but divorced in 2010 following reports of his infidelities the previous year.
