What is the future for head coach Joe Mazzulla, supermax extension candidate Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics in the NBA’s 2023 offseason?

From balancing the roster under the league’s new collective bargaining agreement to decisions on whether to extend Brown, re-sign reserve forward Grant Williams or trade one of their surplus guards looms large for Boston.

Particularly given the fact the new CBA will likely shorten the franchise’s contention window considerably — as it was designed to do — making Boston’s moves this offseason especially weighty in terms of their future potential to hang a banner. Adding toughness may be an avenue they want to explore as well.
