What would the holidays be without an Air Jordan 11 release?
Team Jumpman has treated fans to Michael Jordan’s patent leather-covered sneaker every December for over a decade. The trend continues this year with the “Gratitude” retro, an update to the Air Jordan 11 “Defining Moments Pack” from 2006. Two-pair box sets are no longer common practice for Brand Jordan, but the re-release of the “White/Black/Metallic Gold” Jordans complete the “DMP” reissue that began in 2020 with the Air Jordan 6.
At quick glance, the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” is a one-to-one replica of its predecessor – which brought gilded finishes to the “Concord” pair in which “His Airness” won his fourth NBA title. Closer inspection, however, reveals a major difference between both pairs: Holiday 2023’s release features premium leather instead of ballistic mesh across the upper. Tuxedo-appropriate patent leather reprises its glossy “Black” look, while branding hits throughout the shoe enjoy “Metallic Gold” makeovers. Midsoles keep things simple, but their accompanying traction introduces a semi-translucent, off white hue that complements the celebratory pair well.
The Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” releases for the whole family on December 9th via Nike SNKRS and a wide range of retailers. Continue ahead to enjoy official photos of the pair.
