As reported by CTInsider.com, the sale took place last week in Litchfield County, which is tucked into the northeast corner of the country’s 48th largest state.

It was built for he and his wife in 1992 by architect Allan Greenberg, although Lendl first moved to Greenwich, Connecticut eight years earlier when he was still the top-ranked men’s tennis player in the world.

According to Zillow, the 10-bedroom, 15-bathroom estate sits on 445.6 acres, and has slowly been dipping in price since 2021, when it was listed for $16.5 million.

Most importantly, the property boasts a horse paddock, barn, a conjoined indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, gym and, naturally, a tennis court.

‘Ride through the gates passing horse paddocks, a barn, and up a long and meandering driveway to the impeccable stone house,’ reads the description on Zillow. ‘Enter the first floor passing a grand staircase to a light-bathed main floor with virtually every room boasting French doors to beautiful gardens and patios.

‘A wood-paneled library, spacious living room, formal dining room, and family room, all with fireplaces and wide plank oak floors, as well as a trophy room/office and an eat-in chef’s kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and butler’s pantry complete the [first] level.’

The master bedroom has not one, but two walk-through closets, not to mention its own sitting room and an oversized bathroom.

There’s even a children’s library, along with three other suite bedrooms on the second floor. And the floor has five more bedrooms if needed.

Two separate garages offer shelter for as many as six vehicles, and there’s even an additional office sitting above one.

‘The Lendl’s [were] looking for the ideal location that had a mix of open land that they could enjoy right away as well as forest land,’ said broker Harney Morris. ‘I think they did a really nice job in finding this.’

The buyer was not identified.
