Steph Curry reached another career milestone on Thursday night.
Now that’s a statement that never gets old.
In the Warriors’ 113-102 win over the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena, Curry became the 49th player in NBA history to surpass 20,000 points scored.
He did so with a monster 34-point game against the Nuggets, helping cap off a thrilling comeback over a very good Denver team that has had Golden State’s number all season.
Not only that, but it just so happened to be a signature Steph logo shot.
After the game, Curry discussed his latest accomplishment, where he stressed the importance of keeping things in perspective.
“This whole year has been a steady reminder of how blessed I am to play this game at the highest level, to be healthy, to still enjoy the game at the level that I do,” Curry told reporters after the game. “And I don’t see that changing anytime soon. But also a reminder of all the work you put in, everybody who has helped you get to this point. A wise man once said, ‘celebrate all the little moments that happen.’
“When you say that you’ve done something that only 49 people have done at this level, that’s pretty crazy, so I’m going to enjoy it for sure. They gave me the game ball afterward. I’m going to take that home and keep pushing, it’s good motivation to keep going.”

Steph’s latest milestone is one of … at this point we’ve lost count. It’s one of many sparkling records littered all over his Hall of Fame resume.
He won’t be stopping at 20,000 points either. Currently ranked 49th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, Curry (20,006) is still 18,381 points shy of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the top spot.
The 33-year-old will not climb that high on the list, but could certainly crack the top-10 if he were to play for another seven or eight seasons.
