On July 7, a video of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry working out with Scoot Henderson went viral on social media. In the video, Curry and the 2023 top-three draft selection can be seen working on their ball-handling skills while also incorporating a tennis ball into their workout.

In May 2023, Curry and Henderson announced they had formed a ‘strategic alliance built on common values in an effort to encourage and promote the future of youth sports,’ as reported by ESPN.

As such, it comes as no surprise to see the two guards working out together during the off-season, especially since Henderson is taking part in Las Vegas Summer League with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Curry will likely be sharing some words of wisdom with Henderson as he bids to help the rookie settle into life as an NBA player.

Another guard who Curry helped guide during their early tenure in the league is Jordan Poole, who was recently traded to the Washington Wizards as part of the deal that sent Chris Paul to Golden State. In a recent Instagram post, Curry shared a heartfelt goodbye to a guard he had seen develop from a rookie into a borderline All-Star talent.

“Yo — so, now that the trade is actually final, I felt like I needed to come on here and just say — JP, how much I appreciated the four years brother,” Curry said. “You’re a champion. You grew up right in front of everybody’s face in terms of, you know, that first year where it was rough — a lot of injuries, just trying to find your way to going to the G League and coming back and helping us finish 15-5 down the stretch of your second year to us winning a championship your third year and fighting till the end this past year.”

Henderson will likely be hoping that Curry’s expert tutelage will help him get off to a strong start once the season gets underway. While Curry will continue to set his sights on another championship run.
