Sky Sport Italia are reporting that Fiorentina have an interest in signing Tottenham winger Bryan Gil during the January transfer window.
Though not confirmed by Sky, Fiorentina’s interest would presumably be for a loan deal, as Gil currently has two-and-a-half years left on his Tottenham contract, which runs until 2026, and he currently has a market value of around €16m according to some sources.
Tottenham have allowed Gil to leave on loan during both of the last two January transfer windows, initially to Valencia in 2022 and then to Sevilla in 2023.
Gil joined Tottenham from Sevilla as a 20-year-old in 2021, in a deal believed to be worth €25m involving former Roma man Erik Lamela moving in the other direction.
He had impressed while on loan at Eibar during the 2020-21 season leading up to his Tottenham move.
Gil has struggled to cement himself in the Tottenham first team since his arrival however, and has played just 207 minutes of football under Ange Postecoglou this season. He has eight Premier League appearances in 2023-24, six off the bench and two as a starter.
