It is August, which means players around the league are getting their final workouts in as they prepare to report to training camp at the end of September for their respective teams.

While some are in the gym getting some individual workouts in, others are playing in pro-ams or competing internationally.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Furkan Korkmaz is going the international route. He is competing in EuroBasket 2022 with his native Turkey. The Turks took on Latvia on Thursday as they continued their preparation for the actual competition beginning on Sept. 1.

Turkey fell to Latvia, 111-85, and Korkmaz scored 10 points on 4-for-8 shooting. He knocked down two of the three 3s he launched.

Korkmaz will have to continue to have a strong summer performance for Turkey and take this with him into training camp. The veteran guard will be entering his sixth season with the team, and he needs a much better showing after shooting 28.9% from deep in the 2021-22 season.
