PHILADELPHIA–The James Harden era for the Philadelphia 76ers continued to roll on Wednesday as they knocked off the New York Knicks 123-108 at home. The team is now 3-0 in the Harden era and The Beard has been playing very well with his new team very early.

Harden had 26 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists as he was able to lead the team to another impressive win in the early going. He has been able to have good chemistry with the team and it looks like he has been able to play well with everybody on the roster.

“We all just fit together,” said Embiid. “You got someone in James with his experience and his playmaking ability, scoring ability, you combine that with what we adds and he’s been amazing. What we have on the team, it all fits.”

Harden has made his impact known out on the floor and in the locker room. He has continued to stay on his teammates to get the most out of them, as he did with Tyrese Maxey on Wednesday and previously Tobias Harris on Sunday, and adding him to Embiid has made things look easy out on the floor.

“Because you have a big man who’s dominant and is able to do a lot of things on the court,” Harden said. “Then, you got a lot of guys that are versatile that are able to do a lot of things. You look, for instance, Reese who is able to play off the ball, on the ball when his name is called, able to make plays. Tobias, the same way. Can catch-and-shoot and can post-up and make plays as well.”

The biggest thing for the Sixers at the moment is that they all seem to be focused on the task at hand. Philadelphia has their eyes set on winning a championship and they have done a very good job of making sure everybody is on the same page with Harden.

“Like Joel said, I think everybody’s mind is heading towards the right direction,” said Maxey. “Everybody has the same goal in mind and we’re all stepping at the same pace. We all wanna win and that’s really it. We don’t really care about stats, we don’t care how ugly it is, at the end of the day, we just wanna win and play our best basketball moving forward.”

Philadelphia has a long way to go, but this has been a very encouraging start for them. Harden has made an impact in the early going and the Sixers look like they can continue to grow as a team.

“Then you got spacing, you got shooters and cutters that are really smart off the ball so for me, I just try to help where I can,” Harden finished. “For the most part, it’s been seamless.”
