Midfielder Albert Rusnak capitalized on a turnover and FC Dallas managed just a single shot all night and suffered as the Seattle Sounders advanced to the Western Conference semifinals.

Rusnak’s goal was all that was required as the Sounders won the third game in a best-of-three first round series to advance to play Los Angeles FC.

After a turnover from Dallas center back Sebastien Ibeagha, a perfectly weighted pass found the feet of the Slovakian who struck it one-time and sent it to the back of the net.

It was the most efficient offense that Seattle put up all night – finishing with 16 shots but just four on target for the evening.

Fortunately, if Seattle’s offense was inefficient, than Dallas’s was completely incompetent.

As a result of Dallas’s ineptitude, Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei notched a shutout – the 13th of his long career with the Sounders.

This loss extends FC Dallas’ streak of unluckiness in the Emerald City. Since beating the Sounders back on May 25, 2011, Dallas has gone 0-15-4 at Lumen Field.
