Over past decades, the basketball silhouette has also dubbed as a cult classic skate-ready model which is only being further cemented by multi-faceted creative Sage Elsesser’s latest collaboration.
The skateboarder and rapper known most notably as Navy Blue has worked in tandem with the Boston-based brand for years, celebrating their union with the colorway Jordan wore throughout the 1984 Olympic Games. Done up in a muted palette, a trio of tones takes the main stage amidst an aged beige nylon construction and white leather panels that grace the forefoot, heel and quarter. The remaining real estate is dressed in the tone of his namesake with “Navy Blue” coating the upper heel counter, mid-foot and tongue logo, outsole as well as accenting stitching presiding above a counteracting cream “CONVERSE” branded midsole. Rounding out the design elements Elsesser’s staple golden rose is embossed in the back tab for a hinted premium offering.
