Ron Harper Jr. is now officially with the Toronto Raptors. The NBA team announced on Thursday that the former Rutgers basketball star has signed a two-way contract.

Following going undrafted in last month’s NBA Draft, Harper was offered a two-way contract with the Raptors. Following his third Summer League game on Wednesday night, an 80-74 win over the Utah Jazz, the player and the team made his move to the NBA official.

Harper had eight points, six rebounds, a block and a steal in the Toronto win. He was 2-for-6 from the floor.

Given his strong senior season at Rutgers, it was a bit of a surprise to see Harper go undrafted.

Last season, Harper averaged 15.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for Rutgers as he was named an All-American. His strong performance last year, including being one of the Big Ten’s top defenders, lifted Rutgers to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 1976.
