Popularized throughout the late 90s by way of the feet of Nick Van Excel, the Reebok Blast championed the brand’s retro aesthetic that existed amongst its Shaq Attaq and Kamikaze lines. Receiving its last retro treatment in 2014, the OG construction has returned for the new year.
Coordinating a tried-and-true interpolation from the 2014’s re-release, the same monochromatic aesthetic affixed with bright red accents lays claim to the silhouette once again. Stretching its jet-black branded elongated overlays across the uppers initial crisp white mesh and leather base layer, the two-toned upper indulges in a blank white toe cap while the tongue and overlay explore its typical split color blocking. While the aforementioned panel’s branding comes clad in red, the heel’s embellishment borrows a hint of white before the trio of tones take over across the sole unit and tread underfoot.
