At just seven years old, Rayssa Leal became a viral sensation as the young Brazilian skater spun into a heel flip off a set of stairs while wearing a bright blue fairy dress with accompanying wings. Taking the X Games stage by storm in subsequent years while securing a Silver Medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the 15-year-old skating sensation now has her own collaboration in the works featuring the skateboard communities endeared SB Dunk Low.

While initial mock-up imagery depicted a titular composition spearheaded by a gradient of purple, blue and pink, official first-look images instead showcase a neutral-based palette. The latter’s colorful treatment concentrates atop the bright purple Rayssa-branded tongue tabs while “Deep Royal Blue” hues animate the medial tongue and the surrounding inner lining. Tumbled leather swooshes extend the vibrant tones from the Pantone wheel even further with “Vivid Purple” treating the medial installments while the lateral swooshes return to the upper’s presiding dark blue contrast.

Tooled for ramps, guardrails and uneven sidewalks, the silhouette’s heavily cushioned tongue and rope laces are a welcome sight for the sport’s ever-expanding audience. Draping its base layer in a blank crisp white leather, monogram detailing then fills the quarter panel – accenting the richly textured tan overlays that sprout across the mudguard, quarter and heel counter. What’s more, the 15-year-old’s exuberant personality is cemented along the beaded dubrae depicting a trio of smiley faces while Leal’s own logo comes embroidered onto the heel overlay in bright purple.

The Rayssa Leal x Nike SB Dunk Low is currently expected to debut in the spring of 2024. While we await further release details, the pair can be seen ahead in first-look images.
