New Orleans Pelicans two-way rookie Dereon Seabron has been waived by the team after spending much of the season in the G League with the Birmingham Squadron.

Seabron, who went undrafted last year out of NC State, averaged 16.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists on 49.6% shooting from the field in 44 games with the Squadron. He produced 18 20-point games, including three 30-point efforts, on the season.

The 22-year-old recorded four double-doubles and had one triple-double on March 22 with 21 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. He was the only player in the G League this season to record at least 20 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds in a game.
