The world was treated to a first-look at the late Virgil Abloh‘s first all-original Nike sneaker design in late October. A month later, the Off-White frontman’s wife, Shannon Abloh, confirmed in a New York Times interview that both her late husband and NIKE, Inc. had dozens of unreleased product set to launch over the next several decades as part of a 50 year plan. The Nike Air Terra Forma is amongst those items prepped for a posthumous release.
Clad predominantly in “Wheat” and “Summit White” colors, the silhouette’s two debut styles are equally loud in color palette and design, coupling a multi-colored marbling effect with trail-ready components. A mix of suede, textile, and other materials come together across the model’s upper, which features Helvetica text along the profiles in true Off-White fashion. The sneaker-boot’s tall trim is made taller via the extended tongues, as well as the robust sole unit underfoot. Visible Air units are housed at the heel, while various layers of foam round out the midsole arrangement. “TREAD LIGHTLY”-stamped outsoles round out the outdoors-appropriate proposition, boasting a series of spikes from toe to heel.
