With Brendon Babenzien at the helm, Noah has had no trouble carving a place in streetwear that’s solely its own. Even their collaborations are unique in that they often align perfectly with the streetwear label’s creative vision. But out of the many names Babenzien and his team have worked with, none seem to offer quite as much freedom as PUMA.
After shipping the Clyde off to Japan, Noah dug deep into PUMA’s archive, taking a keen interest in the footwear brand’s older tennis styles. Now — following the return of the PUMA Star — the two are unearthing yet another relatively forgotten sneaker: the Pro Star.
Together, Noah and PUMA have crafted a relatively faithful recreation of the Pro Star. There are a few details that distinguish the modern pair from its predecessor, however, though the shape is closely modeled after the original. In addition to the co-branded hits at the tongue and the cross logo imprinted into the heels, the collaboration layers perforated Formstripes and gilded “Pro Star” markings over top an understated colorway dressed in white, green, and gum.
Enjoy a closer look at the Noah x PUMA Pro Star right here. These are scheduled to hit select retailers on Aug. 31st, with Noah themselves likely to follow suit on an earlier date.
