Since the tragic death of her husband, Vanessa Bryant has taken it upon herself to lead the growth of the Kobe Brand within Nike. Already, she’s made significant progress in make the Kobe footwear more and more accessible, because a slew of releases are already confirmed for 2024.
However, being the First Lady of the Kobe Bryant estate has its benefits. It’s very likely that Vanessa and her family have plenty of not-for-retail Kobe footwear, like this pair inspired by their everlasting love. Covered in two bold shades of red and covered in hearts on the Engineered Mesh upper, this Kobe 8 “Wifey” PE is just a small token of the love shared between Kobe and Vanessa — a love that has spanned decades.
Given that these are designated as a PE by Vanessa herself, it doesn’t seem likely that these will see a retail release.
