Set to open the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers, Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies have a full seven-round bout on their hands over the course of the coming weeks while the reigning Most Improved Player will undoubtedly use the added exposure to preview a number of unreleased colorways from his first signature series with The Swoosh.
Continuing to harken to the ear-marked page in the titular section of the color wheel, the Nike Ja 1 now dresses in an overtly vibrant scheme with “Infrared” hues enveloping the mesh body, leather quarter panel, tongue construction and laces. Contrasted immediately at the jet-black nylon sock liner and tread, a supple Off-White treatment set across the midsole interrupts with neutrality. Elsewhere, bright sky blue and lilac shades pair off to anchor the tongue tabs and heel’s embroidered #12’s in a mismatched association while both the left and right foot’s full-length Swooshes come dipped in the presiding blue finish.
While we await further release details, in the meantime enjoy a first look at the Nike Ja 1 “Red/Blue/Black” below.
For more signature options, the Jordan Tatum 1 takes on hints of the Air Jordan 12’s tooling.
